Or that, for significant changes, they would have personnel standing by to handle the SNAFUs. Even the „MFA not working as expected?“ help page requires that customers log in … with MFA.Ĭonsidering the reports of LastPass hacks, including the recent one via a senior-level employees home computer, you would think they would have a customer hotline. All support queries are forced via their portal … which requires users to log in with MFA. ![]() LastPass has no posted phone number for support, which I verified via thread searches here. When tech things don‘t work as expected, you reach out to support. In my case, despite multiple attempts with numerous codes, the code does not work. ![]() To do so requires you to use a code sent in an email that it sends you. That is explained in the Bit.ly-linked LastPass support page of the tweets. In disabling MFA, LastPass wants you to reauthorize the MFA on your trusted device. By then, I was desperately looking around for answers. ![]() I only learned about it after, one, I tried logging into my Vault via my desktop and could not do so and, two, I could not log in to LastPass Support. It also was not posted to the main Twitter feed for 52.6K followers. I did not get an email from LastPass with this information, nor was it posted as a notice on the LastPass website. Ten hours ago, (1:28 AM May 9, 2023) the Twitter accounts and posted the following tweets: „As part of our planned security upgrades, users may need to log back into LastPass and reset their multifactor authentication preference in the next 24 hours: bit.ly/41lR4Yq“. Tl dr: In a planned but unannounced security upgrade, LastPass disabled mulifactor authentication (MFA) on accounts users cannot log into vaults and cannot reach support without MFA.
